Mrs. Stanley is the product of a pastor's kid, PK, and used her ability to care for church and community members to pursue a nursing career. She has been an RN for over 30 years and held unencumbered, unrestricted nursing licenses in eight states. She started as a bedside nurse in the inner city of Gary, IN, where she came into contact with patients and families of vulnerable populations. She has had similar experiences in AZ, IL, MS, WA, CA & MI. Her education includes an MBA in Healthcare Management (MBA-HCM), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and currently a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) Student at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). In addition, she is multi-board certified as a nurse executive and healthcare leadership executive, e.g., FACHE, HCM-BC, NEA-BC & NE-BC, which indicates her expertise. She leverages her time, talent, and treasures to role model the belief that "if you can see me, you can be me." Mrs. Stanley stays relevant in national/international issues through her volunteerism (where she became involved with Finch Henry Job Corp in 2015) and professional practice memberships. She represents the American Nurses Association of California (ANA/C) as a 2022-2023 Policy and Advocacy Fellow... She is a member of multiple professional organizations, e.g., the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL), the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), the Central Valley Black Nurses Association (CVBNA), and the ANA/C. In her spare time, she serves as adjunct faculty Director of a local Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program.
