My name is Dan Dry Dock Shockley, retired Navy, Operation Desert Storm, Enduring, and Iraqi Freedom veteran. Dx w attenuated FAP, Variant c.2252.del, after my first and only colonoscopy at age of 51, asymptomatic and no family history. In 2012, underwent successful total-proctocolectomy with permanent ileostomy surgery immediately after my AFAP diagnosis. In 2021, underwent successful pancreas-sparing duodenectomy resection surgery. I'm a live-case presentation for the Stanford School of Medicine, Molecular Foundations of Medicine course, and the Stanford MS Program in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling program.
