In 2021, underwent successful pancreas-sparing duodenectomy resection surgery at Stanford University Hospital. I'm a live-case presentation for the Stanford School of Medicine, Molecular Foundations of Medicine course and Stanford MS Program in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling program. I was a colleague of Dr. Henry T. Lynch, the founding father of hereditary cancer research. He's credited w discovering AFAP and was reviewing the pathology reports of my routine endoscopic surveillance through the years providing his feedback and insight. Dr. Lynch passed away on June 2, 2019, at 91 years of age. He was still conducting his research up until a month before his passing. My purpose is to educate medical students about attenuated FAP continuing the legacy of Dr. Lynch on the importance of early detection in hopes of saving lives. Thanks for your time and interest.
