PhD-trained nurse scientist with research expertise in health services and outcomes research. I am clinically trained as a pediatric nurse practitioner, with experience in the primary care setting. I have enjoyed working with a variety of students (both traditional and adult learners) and teaching in both in-person academic settings as well as distance and remote programs. My research focuses on the evaluation of healthcare, with an emphasis on factors impacting patient safety and health outcomes, healthcare delivery, and the healthcare workforce. Key areas of interest include: the transition from hospital to home, the role of nurses and APRNs, domestic and international health policy.
