Dora Loun is a Registered Nurse whose healthcare career has spanned over 20 years, from a CNA working nights in SNF to a travel RN working Covid ICU to a freelance consultant. Her nursing experience includes ICU/Critical Care, BMT/Stem Cell Transplant, Oncology, and Home Health. She is a passionate patient advocate and educator and a staunch supporter of healthcare reforms that improve the quality of patient care and working conditions for healthcare providers. 

Throughout her career, Dora has dedicated herself to making complex concepts easy to understand. Her freelance consultancy business started as answering questions in support group forums that were focused on children with special needs. This morphed into assisting other parents navigate the difficult pediatric behavioral healthcare and special education systems which then lead to coaching those parents and other adults on ways to stay healthy and active so that they can best care for their children and families.

Dora has recently expanded her freelance business to include the roles of Legal Nurse Consultant and Healthcare Content Writer. Her breadth of experience makes her ideally suited to speak from the position of an expert in her field. She enthusiastically shares her skills and knowledge to assist attorneys understand complex medical concepts so that they can convey them effectively. She uses those same skills and knowledge to create written content for consumption by healthcare personnel and the general public. 

In her free time, Dora enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting as well as sewing and curling with a good book and a cup of tea. Travel nursing has allowed her to satisfy her wanderlust and love of travel. She is a wife and mother of two grown sons and enjoys spending time with them and her extended family.
