I have owned a company (Medical Consulting Resources) that provided expert witnesses for malpractice litigation (at one time, I had nearly twenty doctors, nurses, and RT's working for me).
Moreover, I had two quite UNIQUE positions at Kaiser's corporate office. I wrote the Corporate Board Report for the 13 Northern California hospitals and presented it to the Board. In the second job, I was on the team that launched KP's website in the early 2000s. My role was to identify & implement opportunities for KP's membership online. (e.g., email your doctor, renew an RX online, Discussion groups in which we used AI to figure out what the trends were (all of this done before anyone knew what AI even was), and finally an online Health Assessment). All of this was cutting edge >20 years ago.
In addition to teaching 20 years at San Francisco State University (1972-1992), I have a very successful Food & Wine International Tourism company. We are now in 13 countries around the globe.
This company started 25 years ago as the first company in the US for RN's to receive CEU's abroad.
