Kim Kish, MSN, APRN, ANP-C is an experienced board-certified surgical oncology nurse practitioner with almost 20 years in research, healthcare, and nursing. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1998. From 1998 to 2005 she held positions as a research associate, a cardiovascular circulatory support specialist and spent 5 years as a business process design specialist. At the age of 30, she followed her heart and soul by completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007. She was offered an inpatient position in surgical oncology at a prestigious cancer center and worked full-time while she completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2013. As an oncology nurse, she has held positions in inpatient post-op care, outpatient clinic and was a nurse manager before becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner. Her oncology specialty is outpatient surgical care management of lung and esophageal cancer patients. She is passionate about providing quality patient care and believes in treating all patients as if they were her own family. She is a leader among her peers, a mentor to new APRNs, and a published author. She is a devoted Catholic, wife, and mother who has overcome adversities and celebrated triumphs throughout her life. Future projects include the 2024 launch of her career coaching business specializing in guiding women into a fulfilling new life as a nurse!
