Assistant Patient Care Manager of Emergency Department - Stanford Health Care

I'm Emily Brown and I have worked at Stanford Emergency Department for 10 years now. I became a manager in Feb. of 2020 before the Covid pandemic. In my free time, I volunteer with First Responder Therapy Dogs and help oversee the teams on the peninsula of the Bay Area. My two dogs are certified therapy dogs and visit first responders to help manage the trauma we deal with every day at work, a project I am very passionate about. I am also in the process of starting a nonprofit which will organize and partially fund trips to the Kenyan Coast for surgical missions. My father is a retired surgeon and will be providing both free medical care and teaching local surgeons in Kenya.
