Graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in Spanish. Was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Have a BS in Biology from UNCW. Obtained my BSN from Georgetown University. I started in the ER and then went to the ICU at a large hospital system in Washington, DC. I also worked as a forensic nurse. Once moving to California I worked in the ER and eventually transitioned into case management. I now have a podcast that is being rebranded from Black Sheep Nurse to Rebel Nurse. The mission of the podcast is to highlight all the cool jobs nurses can do with their degrees. It relaunched in February 2025. I also have an apparel line just for nurses!
