Pediatric Sleep Consultant - Lacy's Lullabies
I have been an RN for 14 years, beginning my nursing career in the ER - I loved it there! After about five years, I wanted to learn something new and transitioned to the CVICU, where I expanded my knowledge and skill set. Eventually, I returned to the ER before moving into my current role as a Stroke Coordinator at a Comprehensive Stroke Center about 8 years ago. This role gives me the flexibility I cherish now that I have two little ones at home, while still allowing me to engage with the acute care I love. I earned my Master’s in Nursing Education in 2019, but shortly after, I had my children back-to-back. While I enjoy my career, once life settled down, I wanted to explore something new—this led me to Pediatric Sleep Consulting. As a parent, I hadn’t heard of sleep consulting before, but I was intrigued. I had successfully taught my own children to sleep independently and through the night by 4-5 months of age. This was a game-changer, especially after my second child! As a working parent, having predictable naptimes and bedtimes meant I could use that time to catch up on chores, rest, or simply relax. Recognizing how much better we all functioned with consistent sleep, I knew I wanted to help other parents achieve the same success. So, about a year ago, "Lacy’s Lullabies" was born. While I’m still learning about the business side of things, working with families and helping them achieve sleep results they thought were impossible has been incredibly rewarding! I look forward to growing my business in the future and helping more parents seeking solutions to their child's sleep challenges.
