Mark was born and raised in Tulare, CA. He graduated with a BS from California Baptist University in 1984; married his wife, Valerie, in 1985; worked as a public school teacher while simultaneously working EMS ambulance, ER, and Fire; became pastor of Sierra Baptist Church in 1994, Graduated with a MDiv in 1999; Completed a DMin in 2008; and earned a PhD in 2023. Mark has four adult children and eight grandchildren. He has worked as Lead Pastor of Sierra Baptist Church of Visalia for 32 years and as a Staff Chaplain for Kaweah Health in Visalia since 2007. Mark was honored as Kaweah Health's Employee of the Year in 2022.
