Rachell M. Dumas is a registered nurse, serial entrepreneur, and maternal health advocate who has been featured on NPR, WABE, AJC, 11Alive, and more. After enduring nine pregnancy losses—eight miscarriages and one stillbirth—Rachell founded A Light After Nine, a nonprofit that offers support to families navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, and maternal health disparities. Her personal journey of grief and resilience has fueled her mission to reform maternal healthcare, with a focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by Black women. As a serial entrepreneur, Rachell also launched Onward Healthcare Solutions and Education LLC, where she worked to help healthcare providers with COVID-19 preparedness and compliance. Her nonprofit A Light After Nine offers services such as emotional support, financial assistance for families in need, mental health resources, and access to fertility and pregnancy care options. Rachell continues to share her story to inspire change, raise awareness, and create a future where all women receive equitable, compassionate care.
