I was born in Cleveland Ohio. I attended nursing school at Cleveland State University. I worked in the hospital setting, in an intensive care unit, right out of school and stayed there for 4 years. I became interested in school nursing and began to substitute nurse in the schools on my days off. I then transitioned to part time (working weekends) in the ICU and began working full time in the schools. I truly enjoyed school nursing, so I went back to graduate school to get credentialed in this area of nursing. I moved to California in 2009 and have continued to work as a credentialed school nurse in the Central Valley of California for the last 12 years. I enjoy working in the schools very much. I feel like nursing is a career with so much diversity- it is impossible to become bored. Personally, I am married with two wonderful daughters. My children are 8 and 11 so they keep me very busy. We live in the foothills and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. I love jogging, gardening, crafting and reading.
